Book Chapter List
The soldier suits up his armor. Leather straps and ties embrace the soldier's body.
A stitched emblem of a gold shield with two long swords is shown across the armor's
chest. Gloves of woven leather fit snug on the soldier's hands. They are great for
gripping the sword during a heated frontal assault. The gloves help to keep the blade
swinging without fault as the enemy advances forward. The soldier's sweat does not
cause the sword to lose grip because the gloves are tightly bound around the handle.
The soldier wraps a sash around his waste and loops it in place with a brown belt.
The belt is firm and comfortable; easy for the soldier to move on the battle field. A
small dagger with two sharp edges is jammed into a sheath for emergencies. The
soldier will use the dagger in close combat, when his sword is too long the dagger will
come out. The dagger is deadly, it fits nicely in tight places under the enemies armor
where a sword normally couldn't reach. The soldier laces up his boots. The boots are
tall as they rise nearly to the soldier's knees. They protect the soldier's legs from low
attacks. The bottom of the boots are well crafted, they can withstand long journeys
and hours of movement during intense combat. Small jagged spikes line above the
toes of the boots. The soldier uses the spikes when kicking, they tear whatever they
come in contact with. A leather helmet is fitted over the soldier's head. Tough leather
reaches down over the soldier's nose. The helmet lowers below the back of the
soldier's neck. It is a good helmet that does not shift or move while charging on
horseback. The soldier's view is not blocked by the helmet. Small holes are cut in the
sides to let air in and help the soldier hear commands being shouted across the
battle. The soldier tucks a cross necklace under his armor. The necklace is his
protection, the cross is what he lives by. The soldier sticks his sword blade into the
ground, and gripping it by the handle, kneels to pray. He asks the Creator to guard
him on the battle field. He prays for a swift victory with few casualties. With a quick
Amen the soldier joins the ranks of a great Army and prepares for war.
The warrior sits around a campfire somewhere on the prairie. He wipes red paint
across his face. A vest of tiny Bison bones strewn together with sinew dangles around
the warrior's body. A leather bracelet of finely carved gold and turquoise rocks is
wrapped around the warrior's left bicep. Placed on top of the warrior head is a hat
made out of wolf skin.
Sneak Peak (a quick look into the book)
Huey Lewis said it perfectly in his hit song: The power of love is a curious thing, make a one man
weep, make another man sing, change a hawk to a little white dove, more than a feeling, that's the
power of love.
Love can be a mysterious thing, but it is a powerful thing. There are three important aspects of love
that should become a part of your entire life; loving God, loving other people, and choosing to love
yourself. First we must choose to love God above all things including ourselves. We need to love
him with all our heart and with all our soul. Then we must love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
These are Bible principles. Love is being passionate about other people. It is a movement and it is
an uprising of deeply caring for the needs of others. It is very easy to get caught up with our own
issues and our own day to day activities and often times completely forget that other people exist;
other people have needs. Are you aware that nearly seven billion people live on this Earth? Have
you ever thought about that? Each one of those seven billion people has needs and they have
some form of wants or dreams. Do you realize that God loves each and every one of us? His love is
spread to every corner of the globe. More than half of the world does not have the luxuries that most
Americans have; cell phones, a job that pays, a car to drive, a television to watch, clean drinking
water, electricity, nutritional food, or shelter from the weather. Roughly one third of the world does
not have any of these luxuries. All the things that we take for granted quite a few people have never
had. To bring it closer to home, there are thousands of Americans who don't have these luxuries
either. What is the power of love?
Praise you Jesus, praise you. You are the Savior with the spiritual touch; since
you have touched my life I have never been the same!
Millions of people are being touched by the hands of God today. Literally millions
are radiating with his glory. Thousands of children are laughing and enjoying life
through the work of churches and community outreaches. Adults young and old are
being transformed and rejuvenated in their spiritual growth. A movement is occurring
that is so phenomenal that it cannot be fathomed by the human mind. God is putting
his powers into strong believers and those believers are giving their spiritual touch,
they are touching the lives of those around them in huge ways. Somewhere a child is
making a cross out of yarn and sticks. Somewhere an old woman is singing Holy
Lord. Teenagers are visiting nursing homes and touching the elderly. An old man is
giving speeches in the gyms of high schools and touching the lives of a future
generation. In a big city a gang leader put down his gun and walked into a church
today. In a small town the community came together to help one family.
You are more than a super
hero. God has given you
abilities that extend far
beyond any of those we see
in the comics or the movies.
Those super heroes had the
powers to fly, the powers to
break through walls, the
powers of bending the wind,
the powers to be invisible, the
powers to manipulate metal,
the powers to control
people's minds, the powers to
heal themselves, and the
powers to control extreme
measures of heat. The super
heroes in comics and movies
had amazing powers, but
none of them compare to the
super powers that God gives
us.
The Incredible Hulk had powers, Spider Man had powers, Iron Man
had powers, The Flash had powers, Wonder Woman had powers,
Iceman had powers, Super Girl had powers, Hercules had powers, the
Silver Surfer had powers, Captain Planet had powers, the Invisible
Man had powers, He-Man had powers, Bible Man had powers, the
Green Lantern had powers, and Mighty Mouse had powers but only
Jesus Christ has real super powers. It is only God and his Son Jesus
who can give us real life powers to do good, to do the will of God, and
to fight the sin and temptation of this world. When we simply ask God
he places the blessings of amazing powers into our lives. By reading
our Bibles we are actually studying the powers and learning how to
use them. By reading this book you have received great wisdom into
your life. You can now have a fresh start knowing that God can give
you the necessary powers to battle through life, to fully enjoy life, and
to be more successful in your life.
